Changes in teenage attitude and smoking behaviour after the implementation of the smoke free law in Romania

by Dr. Albert-Lorincz Eniko, Dr. Daniel Botond, Dr. Paulik Edit, Dr. Szabo Béla, Dr. Gasparik Andrea Ildiko,

The aim of our research was to assess the teenagers’ awareness of the law, and the changes occurred in their attitude and smoking behaviour between 2014 and 2016. Our cross-sectional study used self-administered questionnaires, completed by 7th grade students. The perception of the new law is positive, still highly influenced by smoking habits, since non-smokers have a more favourable attitude in this direction than the tobacco consumers.
