The 2019 Summer issue tackles two main fields of interest: political communication through the media and European politics. In the first category, Jacuński et al’s paper is a case study of Poland and the understanding the role of the media takes in this particular context. Zajc et al’s article is another case study on the media’s role in a specific episode in recent Slovenian politics. On the European dimension, Janusz Ruszkowski’s article elaborates on a theoretical reasoning aimed at exploring democracy and the European Union, while András Bíró-Nagy ‘s article takes on a more empirical approach, exploring the career paths of CEE MEPs based on a comparative quantitative study on five countries in the region.
